Rehearsal Dinner Event Venue Iowa City

Rehearsal Dinners

Rehearsal dinners are a vital part of the wedding weekend.  After rehearsing the actual wedding ceremony, the rehearsal dinner offers an opportunity to have a kind of private party between the two families present at the wedding, and it’s an excellent way for the members of the wedding party to meet each other before the actual wedding day.

The Heights Rooftop in Iowa City offers an array of options in terms of the spaces in our rehearsal venue, our dining options, and the various packages and plans you can select for our space in general.  We want to give you an elegant place where you can have a nice family gathering that will set the best tone possible for the upcoming ceremony.

Before you’re able to sample menus, draw up a guest list, find the venue, and lay the groundwork for a perfect rehearsal dinner, you’ve got to set the date.  Luckily, this should be relatively easy, as it usually happens the night before the wedding.

On top of this, keep in mind that you should know what you’re looking for in a rehearsal dinner, meaning:

Rehearsal Dinner Venue

Unlike most other events, a wedding rehearsal dinner theme is usually somewhat subtle and lowkey; most people don’t throw Hawaiian-themed rehearsal dinners.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that there isn’t a theme—it just means it appears in a different way.
The theme of a wedding rehearsal could pull from the location the rehearsal dinner is being held in, the cultural/familial heritage of the two families coming together, a theme that was possibly agreed upon beforehand, or some other fourth option.

Again, though the theme may not be as in-your-face as other kinds of events, nailing down a basic thematic idea for the wedding rehearsal dinner can really help inform the menu, the space, and ultimately the general feel of the night, so it’s not something to be immediately shied away from.
